CHAMPAGNE FASHION BRUNCH – Couture Runway Fashion Shows
Debut in New York City
June 1, 2004--USA International Fashion Shows has
announced the launch of “Champagne Fashion Brunch”, a series of beautiful
couture runway fashion shows presented on most Sundays throughout the year
along with a delicious champagne brunch. The first show will take place June
6, 2004 at 12:00 noon at one of New York City’s most elegant new venues:
Gallery at the Gershwin Hotel (7 East 27th Street) and will feature
Dominican-born couture designer Lourdes Atencio Libman and Cape Verdean
designer Linda Baptista, jewelry by Kendra Roberts and shoes by Carlos
Molina. The event will be filmed for worldwide web casting out of Switzerland
with an introduction in multiple languages. Both national and international
press is invited to cover the event. (More about the
designers).
The fashion shows are primarily a showcase for national and international
designers who create couture and finely tailored garments. The shows lead up
to Couture
Fashion Week 2004, to be held in New York City in September. In addition
to being a unique opportunity for talented fashion designers, the event
promises to attract the participation of some of the most creative makeup
artists, trend setting hair stylists and stunning runway models.
”Being part of this fashion event has been great, " says Lourdes Atencio
Libman who presented her collection during the USA International Fashion Shows
February and September 2003 events in New York. “Through these shows my
collection and name have been covered in magazines in London, Bangkok,
Singapore and in a number of other cities around the world”. Ms. Libman's
beautiful gowns were recently worn by Miss Nicaragua and Miss Canada during
the 2004 Miss Universe pageant held in Panama. She is also a favorite designer
of many Miami socialites.
According to producer Andres Aquino, “The concept of this exciting series of
shows is to create a relaxed environment for fashionistas to enjoy a
top-of-the-line runway show and have the opportunity to place orders and
interact with the designers.” He adds, “Fashion lovers will be in fashion
heaven as they spend a stylish afternoon in New York City soaking up the
latest in fashion design along with a delicious brunch while sipping
champagne”.
Designers or their representatives will be available to take orders on the
spot. Boutique and specialty fashion buyers covering the designer to
high-priced fashion market, fashion representatives, selected VIP's,
socialites and corporate sponsors are also sure to enjoy these events.
Different designers will be featured at each Champagne Fashion Brunch,
ensuring a new presentation for every audience.
Gallery at the Gershwin Hotel on New York’s east side, is a Pop Art enclave
with brightly colored sectional seating accented with plush oversized couches
and pulled together by a retro style DJ booth. The Gershwin Hotel displays the
work of Andy Warhol and other artists of the genre, and its exterior is
decorated in the Gaudi style. (More about the
venue here ).
This is a positive event for New York City, creating job opportunities for
stylists, models and others involved in fashion throughout the year. Designers
can show their collections on a modest budget. Travelers to New York will have
another fun activity to attend throughout the year. Fashion buyers will have
additional choices. Tickets are available on line at
