Monday Nights:
Usually, Monday nights were known as "Recovery Nights" so we can all catch up on our sleep. NOT ANYMORE! Touch presents S.I.N. (Service Industry Night). The party usually gets good from 8-9 -ish and dies out quick, but it's a nice crowd for a Monday night. This event is sponsored by Tanqueray X and Grand Marnier. Touch is located in the Licoln Road Mall (South Side), just west of meridian in SoBe.
Tuesday Nights:
Luna presents Soiree. Located at 701 Washington Ave, Luna provides the drinks (free cosmos from 10-12 for ladies) and the sweets (all dinners receive complimentary desserts), the rest is up to you. Great atmosphere with the background beats of House Music DJ Luis Dee. It starts off a little late, usually there's a nice crowd at around 10:30 or so, but it's well worth it.
Wednesday Nights:
Where else but the Delano!!! World reknown for it's beautiful design, both interior and exterior, the Delano is the best place to sit down and have a drink. This happy hour begins at 10pm and goes on strong until about 12:30. I'll definitely see you there! 1685 Collins Avenue.
Thursday Nights:
Well, Thursday is a big night for happy hour, and the Diva always wants to be fair, so I have two different happy hour suggestions for Thursdays.
The first suggestion is DoubleTree Surfcomber Hotel located at 1717 Collins Avenue. They host "Cocktails at Six." You are literally seated at the lobby bar of some hotel. But honey, it's the Surfcomber. Happy Hour is from 6-9pm. They offer complimentary valet parking and Hors d'oeuvres. They also have specials such as 2 FOR 1 Cocktails. This is a place that I love. I believe in quality not quantity and at the Surfcomber you will see a lot of QUALITY.
My second suggestion is The Veranda Bar at The Palms South Beach. If you like jazz and R&B this is the place to be. Happy Hour is from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., but the band plays on until 10:30 pm. They also have Happy Hour special features such as 2 for 1 drinks and complimentary hors d'oeuvres.
Friday Nights:
Well, Friday is another big night for happy hour, so once again, I have two different happy hour suggestions for Fridays.
First, there's the National Hotel located at 1677 Collins Avenue. The name says it all: "After 5: The Professional Connection." Just like the others, they offer specials such as 2 for 1 drinks & complimentary hors d'oeuvres. It all takes place in their Deco Lounge from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
Another option I suggest is The Globe in Coral Gables. I will admit, the crowd has become a bit younger, but it is still as stylish as ever. The best part: if you feel like going out and dancing later, you are already close to everything!
